DESCRIPTION: $20 SHIPPING CHARGE ADDED TO DOMESTIC INVOICES FOR THIS LOT. Clock - Omega table clock with Dutch windmill scene, circa 1950s, gilt brass case with rounded feet, internally latching rear door gives a flush appearance, original painted Dutch scene of a windmill with a horse drawn carriage and black indices, 15J, s#11061597, clock measures 4.25 inches x 4.5 inches x 2 inches. These clocks were done in a set by Jean-Pierre Mathey-Claudet; others include a fishing scene, a naval battle and several other designs. These clocks are incredibly rare and do not come up for auction often.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide to steelwork, light toning to plates; nearly flawless dial with sharp colors that make you stop and look; nearly mint fancy gold hands; case shows light wear, numerous spots of finish loss common amongst gilt brass clocks of this era, numerous small scrapes and scratches, no dents or dings; good glass crystal.
